This documentary shows the experiences of two EVC youth producers and explores how social media has become a tool of self-objectification for teen girls. Embarrassed by her own image without makeup or filters, Samantha has become obsessed with creating a “more beautiful” version of herself on Instagram, where 10,000 followers now “like” her. In danger of developing an eating disorder, Nang struggles to lose weight to reach her ideal of beauty. As both consumers and producers of media, their stories raise provocative questions about the consequences of pursuing standards of female beauty at any cost.
