Life in Here is a personal and powerful film that explores three EVC Youth Producers’ experiences with unplanned teen pregnancies. Iyleen, Ash, and Emily recount their experiences of being faced with difficult choices, and the lasting impact these moments have on their lives. The stories are set in New York City, and while teen pregnancy rates have been steadily declining, Bronx County has the highest rate of unplanned teen pregnancies of all industrialized countries. Through personal storytelling and interviews with sex-ed experts, Life in Here takes a deep look at the underlying causes of unplanned teen pregnancy and what young people feel they need in order to make healthy and empowered decisions.
