Basic Documentary Workshop

The American Dream (working title) looks at young people’s struggles to live out their dreams in today’s America. Our young producers examine the family, community, and economic influences that are reshaping their life goals in the current climate of recession.

Advanced Documentary Workshop

As the Sun Comes Up, the Bricks Come Down (working title). Our young filmmakers tell powerful stories of changes in their own Bronx and Brooklyn neighborhoods. Through the process of exploring trends of housing renovation, landlord harassment, and neighborhood displacement, EVC students discover critical information about how long-time tenants can maintain their homes and their civil rights.
