Alma Herrera-Pazmiño is a documentary editor, filmmaker and DJ from San Francisco, CA based out of NYC. Alma’s pedagogy is rooted in her upbringing in the Mission District of San Francisco, CA where she worked as a housing rights organizer and youth development arts administrator. Alma has been a DOC NYC 40 under 40 recipient (2023), a fellow in the Sundance art of the Edit Fellowship (2021-2022) and the Karen Schmeer Diversity in the Edit Room Fellowship (2020-2021). She is an affiliate with Brown Girls Doc Mafia, BIPOC DOC Editors and the National Association of Latinos Arts and Culture. Alma participated in EVC’s Credible Educators program in 2024.

Alma Herrera-Pazmiño es editora de documentales, cineasta y DJ, originaria de San Francisco, CA, y radicada en Nueva York. Su enfoque pedagógico está arraigado en su crianza en el Distrito de la Misión en San Francisco, donde trabajó como organizadora por los derechos de vivienda y administradora de artes para el desarrollo de la juventud.
Alma ha sido reconocida como parte de DOC NYC 40 Under 40 (2023) y ha sido becaria en el Sundance Art of the Edit Fellowship (2021-2022) y en el Karen Schmeer Diversity in the Edit Room Fellowship (2020-2021).
