40% of homeless youth identify as LGBTQ+. Through the stories of four LGBTQ+ youth producers and their parents, All Gays Go to Heaven explores a spectrum of experiences from parental homophobia to acceptance. The film delves into the experiences of the youths' parents that lead to homophobia or acceptance, such as religion, racism, and upbringing. The film also examines the risks to LGBTQ+ youth when their families disapprove of their identity, and the benefits to LGBTQ+ youth when families are supportive.
