BET YOU(th) VOTE!

EVC Youth Producers Jessica Cele, Kareem Cox, Brian Fernandez, and Ines Morales have been hired by BET to produce intersticials for their special programming on the election, BET YOU(th) VOTE! A multi-platform initiative including a series of briefs for broadcast on BET News and on-line blog sites on BET.com YOU(th) VOTE! is designed to inspire black youth to learn about national issues, participate in a political forum, and participate in their own mini-election.


YOUTH MEDIA LEARNING NETWORK

The Youth Media Learning Network is an initiative intended to promote professional development for the youth media field on a national scale. The central goals of the Learning Network are to: strengthen youth media teaching and learning practices; foster communities of reflection for youth media educators; support the development of sustainable peer learning networks across local regions and nationally; and extend the reach of best practices from youth media into related fields. As a pilot initiative, the Youth Media Learning Network is a joint project of the Educational Video Center (EVC) and the Education Development Center (EDC).
